Having heard an adult adoptee talk about trying to make sense of her adoption through newspaper clips and media coverage at The open Nest Conference, I think it can only damage the child in the long run. It's also yet another infringement of the child's own personal story, imagine having to deal with this image of yourself if placements are difficult/breakdown or never happen. Is the child really being considered in this action. There are adopters I know who have been matched and then waited months and months for the child to actually come and live with them - I bet they were doing a lot of eye rolling at that aspect of the story!Rebecca Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03323122949121536943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3031616750644178863.post-32981858943412285242015-10-23T22:36:31.185+01:002015-10-23T22:36:31.185+01:00I thought adoption for Christmas was a little opti...I thought adoption for Christmas was a little optimistic given current timescales? <br />I truly hope she finds a loving home thoughAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10099769087213265028noreply@blogger.com
