Breaking News

I've been wondering when and how to break this news, but I really think the time has come when evading and obfuscating will soon turn in to outright lying if I don't come clean soon, so I have decided to tell you first, loyal blog followers!

(Well, nearly first - a few key people are already in the know . . . )

At a recent court date, the judge decided to implement the local authority's latest care plan for OB, namely that he be adopted and I should be the one to adopt him.

It's not a done deal yet.  I've had to submit an application to become an adoptive parent and I'll need to go through the same assessment and approval process as anybody else, which will probably take quite a few months, but as of now, the local authority are not looking to match OB with anyone else.

So, we're going to be a family!  Watch out world!

    1. Thanks :) We're pretty excited! Well, I am anyway :) OB hasn't got the faintest clue what is going on which is just the way I like it!

  2. Could we be more thrilled. OB is such a little sweetheart and we're so pleased and grateful that he's going to have a loving, happy and secure home life and a wider family who already love him and want to be a part of his life.
We're praying that the whole process will go smoothly and quickly, OB is just starting to talk and how wonderful that soon he'll be able to say mummy to you before he's learned to say Becky. How lovely for you too Beautiful when he says mum to you for the first time. Through your experience we've realised just how many needy children there are in the UK who desperately need homes where they are loved and cared for, something most of us have had and probably taken for granted in the past. We feel priveledged to have your boys in our lives and to have experienced the joy they bring. We had such a great time with you all last week and couldn't be happier that OB's outcome is looking so much brighter. We trust that NB's and any other foster children you may have will benefit from their time with you while their situations are worked out to give them the best opportunities for a loving and happy family life in the future.
    Love you all,
    Love Mum xxx

  6. We're thrilled too. It's been a pleasure being part of his little life so far and so fab to see him blossom in a safe environment.

You'll make an awesome mummy, already doing an amazing life changing job for them both. (although I can see his first word being train!) We stand in wonder at your boundless energy to keep up with two pairs of small, but oh so fast, pairs of legs!

It's so exciting (in a slightly selfish way) cause you get to keep him, we get to keep him too :) Blessing by proxy.

Lots of love Frank and Ru xx
